installation detection of previous version

Hi,

I have created a set up file of an app from actual installer and installed it on my pc . after some time due to arrival of new version i created a new set up file keeping all the set up parameters same as that of previous version. After installation what i saw was that it updates the previous version of the app to new one , which works fine for me, but it doesn't give me a prompt for uninstallation of previous version . Is there a way to provide previous version uninstallation prompt ???

Any help would be highly appreciated

Yes, go to the Installation \ Upgrade page and select an option "Uninstall old version before installation".

Thanks for the reply

I have checked the option "Uninstall old version before installation". It works when I install the same setup file twice .
But if i create a new set up file with same set up parameters it doesn't work .
