Failed install on windows 7 PC

Post by amiradar »

Hi!
I've created an installation file for my windows application.
I marked in the requirements that it needs Windows 7. When running the install, an error message appeared as if the PC is not compatible (the PC running Windows 7).
Turning off this requirement caused a weirder error message appeared - claiming that "This installation requires Windows " (see attached file).
Please advice.

P.S. I've posted this problem report in the Support page and in a direct email to support. None of these were granted with a response.

Hi Amir,

We replied to your request 2 days ago. May be it got lost in your spam box.

Anyway here is the message:
Please select Windows versions which you application suports on the Requirements page.

Maybe I was misunderstood, but your reply does not answer the problem.
1. When I set the requirement for Windows 7 O/S, running the install program resulted in an error message stating that the PC is not running Windows 7.
2. When I did not set any required O/S, , running the install program resulted in an error message stating that the PC is not running Windows (the attached screen shot).

So either way, the installation is not running.
I am using ActualInstaller 5.0, on windows 7 Pro 64b.
Please advice.
