Disable “...allow this app to make changes to your device?”

Whenever I open a program installed with Actual Installer, I get this message:

“Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?”

I never get this message with other programs, so I assume it must be related to Actual Installer. If so, how can I disable this?

Re: Selective installation

Is it also possible to give the user the choice what to install? I have a main program and a database file. For a new installation, the user has to install both files, but for updates, he should only install the main program and not the database files. Is this possible to create in the installer? Wh...

"The program can't start because DBEngine.dll is missing f

HI. While running the installer I created, I am getting this message:

"The program can't start because DBEngine.dll is missing from your computer."

I didn't see this before. Any advice on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Re: Updater function: "Incorrect update information" error

What URL do you use for the update information file? Write it here or send to our email (in app select menu Help \ Support). It should be plain text file, not html. Please check it. The url is https://app.box.com/s/h36hfje9tt3pwszo6xsaiv4exgw14ifg which is indeed not correct. Not sure howe I can cr...

Re: Adding icon to the desktop shortcut?

I got it to work. It wasn’t clear to me that you need to add it to the files and folders tab first.

Adding icon to the desktop shortcut?

I am trying to add an icon to the desktop shortcut. In Actual Installer/Installation/Shortcuts I click on the Icon File Column in the Desktop row, and in the dialog window I am trying to select the icon in the Icon File browser (bottom text field in this dialog window), but I cannot select the icon ...

Run installed program as administrator?

I cannot get an installed program to run as administrator. I tried the suggestions on the FAQ pages, but they don't work.
In case this makes any difference, I am running Windows 10 Enterprise, the code given in the FAQ page seems to be for Window NT.

Re: "Run this program as administrator" flag gone after inst

In order to add the attribute "Run this program as administrator" to a file you need to add the following registry key (on the System\Registry tab): For All Users: Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers For Curent User: Registry...
