Greetings Alex and Leo,
Oops....should have remembered that you sent me a licence key in March! Will remember next time. Sorry for the panic.
Best regards,
Dave

What happened to v5.6 upgrade?
Hello Leo, Finally got round to downloading v5.6 upgrade (from v5.4), sent the request for a licence key, and got no response. Now I've got an "Eval" version that was paid for. Shouldn't the licence number be carried forward, or a confirmation email with a valid key? What's going on? Best ...

Re: Network install doesn't recognise GUID?
Hello Leo,
The original install in January was AI, (I think) v5.2. The April 1st update was AI v5.4. Both Pro versions. What is strange is that the manual download and update worked, but the semi-automatic didn't.
Thanks for your help, and
Best regards,
Dave

Network install doesn't recognise GUID?
Hi Leo, Our network customers installed with our app v4.0.9 in January, and we've just sent out the April update (4.0.9.2). Network installation and updates need to be done from a client PC to properly populate .ini and other files to a MAPped drive. When doing the 'check for update', the update dow...

Dialogs | Finish | Custom Action
Hi Leo, I'd like to show a Whatsnew.htm page at finish, but the user might have Internet Explorer, Chrome, or any other browser. Is it possible to launch a program by 'association'? That is, can I just specify the file, and the [whatever] browser launch the appropriate browser? Or must I specify an ...

Re: move / insert files
Hi Leo, You're right (of course), the arrows are on the "Commands" page. Would be great on "Additional Files" and "Ini Files" pages too. I put this request in the Suggestions forum on 13/02/2013. Since then, I've figured out how to take the AIP file from Notepad into Ex...

move / insert files
Hi Leo, Was I dreaming, or did I see tiny arrows at the bottom of the Additional Files page? While re-building a project last week and checking the files with v5.2, I saw the little arrows, and indeed was able to move files around -- a really useful and welcome feature. Looking today, they aren't th...

Product Version
Hi Leo, When starting AI v5.2 (and v5.0 before that), I'm getting the message:"a new version of main executable <appname> has been detected. Would you like to update the Product Version from 4.0.9 to 4.0?". The new(ish) main executable is indeed v4.0.9, and I don't want to change it at thi...

Insert button on 'files' and 'ini files' pages
:) Hi Leo, Just a small request, I hope. We have a large number of files to install, and also a lot of .ini file changes. Invariably, one thing (or many things) gets left out in the original build until we get it right. Adding these files or .ini file changes later always puts them at the end of the...
