Hello I have a question related to Actual Updater. I tried it out and from what I can tell it copies the new application.exe file I put on my site to the desktop.
So this does not really help me as the Exe file needs to be in the folder originally installed in. Should instead of putting the application.exe file on my site for
download should I put a new installer package with the new exe file built in. Of course I would not want to overwrite their settings and such they had before so I would
limit it only to the exe file that has changed.
Is this the correct method?

Hi,
In Actual Installer create an update package with a new application exe (go to Installation\Parameters and select "Upgrade" in the Installation Mode field).
This update package should place a new app exe to the original installation folder.
Make sure that ProductGUIDs are same for the original and update packages.
Then upload this update package to your website.
