Could you explain the steps that take place when the Updater is invoked?
Thanks
Actual Updater process
Re: Actual Updater process
1. Downloading an update text file (specified on the Installation-Updater tab);
2. Comparing version number from downloaded file and from 'Uninstall.ini' file of installed application;
3. Prompting to download if version is newer.

Re: Actual Updater process
Thanks for the response Leo.
My needs might be more complex than the Updater is designed for.
The application consists of an executable and several hundred data files stored in a separate folder.
I would like to be able to download any of the data files from our server that have a newer date on them.
Am I asking too much of the Updater?

You can try wyUpdate (http://wyday.com/wyupdate/) for USD 69 or Puchisoft Dispatcher (http://www.puchisoft.com/dispatcher.php ) for $39 (but the author sometimes decreases the price without any notice). The former has nice GUI which would fit perfectly with Actual Installer GUI so your applications would have the very same professional outfit. The latter is more simple but does the job as well.
