January's New Apps & Upgrades for Your Toolkit
Softeza Development has released Actual Installer 2.4, a tool that promises to easily create sleek and modern installation routines. New to version 2.4 is a feature that enables developers to specify a command that will be executed before un-installation. Other new features include an ability to import Registry keys from .REG files.
Actual Installer uses a wizard-driven interface to streamline install routine creation.
The program's wizard-like interface lets users customize any aspect of an installation. Users simply type content into forms and provide end-user documentation files. The program can also create multilingual installations, check system specifications, set file associations, and register fonts and ActiveX components.
Actual Installer 2.4 is compatible with all versions of Windows, including Vista. A single-user license costs $69.95. A free, 30-day evaluation copy is available online.
